Neal sweeps Hillcrest for first wins

The W.S. Neal Lady Eagle softball team picked up its first wins of the season, sweeping a doubleheader from Hillcrest-Evergreen Tuesday to improve to 2-4.
The Lady Eagles won game one 16-12 and game two 12-5.
In game one against Hillcrest, the Lady Eagles rallied from an 11-3 deficit by scoring five runs in the fourth inning and five in the fifth to help take the win.
Katie Lowery and Katie Elliott were both 3-for-5, and Renae Boatwright was 3-for-3 to lead the Lady Eagles.
Boatwright came in relief in the bottom of the third and allowed one run the rest of the game to earn the win.
In game two, Elliott was 4-for-4 and Jessica Jarow was 4-for-4 with three runs.
Boatwright picked up the win going the complete game and had seven strikeouts in the win.
The Eagles travel to McKenzie on Tuesday.
