JDCC softball ends streak

After dropping four straight games, the JDCC Lady Warhawk softball picked up two wins on Tuesday against Bishop State to improve to 12-24 overall and 3-7 in conference play.
The Lady Warhawks defeated Bishop State 8-0 in game one and 9-1 in game two.
Ashleigh Allgood went the distance on the mound and earned the win. Allgood went five innings and allowed three hits and struck out six while walking one.
Jerri Edwards was 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs as Chasity Nicholson was 1-for-1 with two RBIs.
Jayla Edwards was 2-for-3 with one RBI and Tiffany Cayson was 2-for-2 and Allgood was 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In game two, Allgood was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Cayson was 3-for-4 to lead the Lady Warhawks at the plate.
Kayla McKnight earned the win on the mound as she went four innings and allowed one hit and struck out three.
JDCC will take on Enterprise on Wednesday at 1 and 3 p.m.
