The cool temperatures Tuesday didn't chill the spirits of children and officials on hand for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Escambia County Head Start facility.
The partnership between Head Start and Drs. Dan and Marsha Raulerson has found the program operating from a former childcare facility on Belleville Avenue.
Marsha Raulerson said the partnership has been in the works for some time and she is happy to see the implementation of those plans.
She said the Head Start program is one she believes in supporting and one that is important for the entire community.
Woods said the relocation has been a blessing for Head Start.
Woods said the program is at capacity and a waiting list is being formed.
