T.R. Miller softball to have tourney
The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball team will hold the 2009 T.R. Miller Invitational beginning Friday, March 13. The tournament will resume on Saturday, March 14.
The tournament will be an eight-team softball tournament, with games begginning at 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday.
At noon on Saturday, the single elimination part of the tournament will begin.
Along with T.R. Miller, W.S. Neal, Hillcrest, Clarke County, J.U. Blacksher, Jay and Jackson will play in the tournament.
Admission will be $5.
T.R. Miller’s Peterson selected
T.R. Miller Lady Tiger senior basketball player Kesha Peterson has been selected to play in the Alabama-Mississippi all star basketball game.
Peterson helped lead the Lady Tigers to the 2008-2009 3A state championship this season.
The game will be played at the Pelham Civic Center on March 20.
