TRM softball still undefeated

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball team remained undefeated during the 2009 season with a 10-6 win over Cottage Hill in an area game.
The win improved T.R. Miller to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in area play.
T.R. Miller trailed 2-0 after the first inning but cut the lead to 2-1 in the bottom of the inning.
After Cottage Hill took a 5-1 lead in the top of the third inning but in the bottom of the inning, the Lady Tigers used a nine-run inning to clam a 10-5 lead and take a 10-6 win after Cottage Hill scored one run in the top of the fourth inning.
Anderson was the winning pitcher on the mound for the Lady Tigers.
She allowed seven hits and three walks and struck out four in the win.
T.R. Miller pounded out 13 hits in the win.
Leah Brundidge was 3-for-4 with one RBI and Natalie Neal was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a homerun.
Janel McCorvey was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and an inside the park homerun.
Taylor Guthrie was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a triple and Brandi Kennedy added an RBI with a double.
T.R. Miller JV 8, WSN MS 2
On Thursday night in Brewton, the T.R. Miller JV team defeated the W.S. Neal Middle School 8-2.
T.R. Miller scored one run in the first inning and four in the second inning along with one in the third and two in the fourth to claim the win.
W.S. Neal scored a run in the second and third innings.
Laurel Billy was the winning pitcher for the Lady Tigers. She allowed no hits, struck out 11 and walked three.
Kristin Booker was 1-for-2 with a walk and scored two runs. Abbi Roberts scored 2 runs also for the Lady Tigers.
