Area schools seek children with special needs

Brewton City School and the Escambia County School educators regularly provide special education and related services to students in need in each school’s service area.
In according with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA) Part B of 2004, Brewton City Schools and Escambia County Schools, through Child Find, seek to locate and identify children ages birth through 21, who because of handicapping conditions, may be in need of special education and/or related services.
Referral and evaluations may begin at 30 months for preschoolers.
