Mrs. Maylene Williams Clayton, 67, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004 in Pensacola after an extended illness. She was a native of Fulton, Miss., and a resident of Middleton, Tenn., before moving to Brewton in 1971. She was a homemaker, a licensed beautician and a member of Brewton Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Minister Paul Clayton.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Jurczak and Anita Wise, both of Pensacola; three brothers, Charles Ford Williams, Jim Williams and Charles Allen Williams, all of Fulton, Miss.; five sisters, Rena Gray, Exie Cromeans, Juanita Ashley, Allene Rowin and Virginia Sheffield, all of Fulton and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m. at the Brewton Church of Christ with Ministers Johnny Emerson, Rubel Clayton and Fred Clayton officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
