Mrs. Irene Alice Bell, 99, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, at her Conecuh County residence. She was a lifelong resident of the Brewton area. She was a homemaker, of the Pentecostal faith and preceded in death by her husband, Wash David Bell.
She is survived by a son, Clifton Junior Bell of Brewton; three daughters, Jewell E. Atkins of East Brewton and Judy Marie Bell and Janice Howington, both of Brewton; two brothers, Alton Bell of Range and Earnest Bell of Belleville; three sisters, May-Day Jones of Foley, Earnestine Ivey of East Brewton and Lorene Hawkins of Pensacola, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. at Canaan Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Boatwright officiating. Burial followed at Canaan Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
