Mr. Melvin W. Jackson, 69, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in an Evergreen hospital. He was a native of Evergreen and had been a resident of Castleberry for the past 11 years, coming from south Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jackson.
He is survived by two sons, Anthony Jackson of Huntsville and Melvin Jackson Jr. of Moultrie, Ga.; three daughters, Michelle Jackson of Castleberry, Anita Tiner of Moultrie, Ga., and Louise Vetzel of Tampa, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Benny Stokes and the Rev. Dusty Coover officiating. Burial followed in Holland Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
