Mr. Jerry Preston Madison, 63, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Uriah and a former resident of Atmore before moving to Brewton in 1967. He was a member of East Brewton Methodist Church, served in the Alabama National Guard and retired from the construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Clark Madison of Brewton; a son, Heath Madison of Tuscaloosa; a daughter, Heather Kirkland of Brewton; two brothers, Kyle Madison of Beaumont, Texas, and John Madison of Mary Esther, Fla.; one sister, Beth Herndon of Flomaton and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 29, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Fred Brown officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
