Mr. Billy James Evans, 64, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. He was a member of Friendship Holiness Church and a retired grounds keeper.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Jean Madden Evans of East Brewton; a brother, William Robert Evans of Flomaton; two sisters, Cora Lee Newman of East Brewton and Mary Ida Evans of Flomaton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Reo Pugh officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
