Mr. Robert Lee Shavers, 77, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004. He was a native of Washington County, Ala., and a 40- year resident of Brewton. He was a member of Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by five sons, John Shavers of Mobile,. Robert LaFitte of McClain, Miss., Larry Hudson of Atmore, Alvin Taylor of Monroeville, and Raymond LaFitte of Waynesboro, Miss.; four sisters, Shelly Crosby of Chicago, Ill., Velma Ruth Shavers of Brewton, Ollie Shavers of Winterhaven, Fla., and Clara Thrash of Mobile; a brother, Leo Shavers of Mobile; a sister, Evelyn Hardy of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. at Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. William Brown officiating and Craver's Funeral Home directing.
