Mrs. Marilyn Denise Burston, 42, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2004, at a Mobile hospital. She was a native of Wilcox County and a resident of Atmore for many years. She was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church and worked as a pharmacy technician with Rite Aid for many years. She was preceded in death by her father, Elijah Jackson.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Lee Burston of Atmore; a daughter, Ashley Renae Burston of Atmore; her mother, Nursaray Jackson of Atmore; five sisters, Carolyn Jackson of Atmore, Melvina Parker of Bay Minette and Delois Jackson, Ella Mae Jackson and Jackie Huggins, all of Long Island, N.Y., and one brother, Elijah Jackson Jr. of Birmingham.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 1 p.m. at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in Atmore with Elder Sanders Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home directing.
