Mr. Olen McDonald Gilley, 95, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004 in Century, Fla. He was a native and life-long resident of Bratt, Fla. He was a retired employee of St. Regis and a Mason in the Century Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Gilley, and a son, Joseph McDonald Gilley.
He is survived by two daughters, Gerladine Killam of Bratt, Fla., and Dorothy Sutton of Byrneville, Fla.; two thers, James S. "Ted" Gilley of Century, Fla., and W.T. Gilley of Cantonment, Fla.; one sister, Eva Mae Dole of Century, Fla.; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gavin Killam, Jerry McElhaney, Burton Wiggins, Forrest Sutton III, James Sutton, and Damon Morgan.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. from the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Lee, the Rev. Herman Boren, and the Rev. Herman Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Godwin Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
