Perdido
Mrs. Melissa Rebecca Allen, 45, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004 in Perdido. She was a native and life-long resident of Perdido and attended the Fountain of Living Waters church. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Levi Owens.
She is survived by her husband, Joey Allen of Bay Minette; two sons, Joshua Odell and Jessica Owens, and Jonathan Lee and Randi Owens, both of Bay Minette; her parents, Louie and Mamie Hadley of Perdido; one granddaughter, Madison Lee Owens of Bay Minette; four brothers, Roger and Wandy Hadley, Ronald Hadley, Joseph Hadley, and Brian and Miranda Hadley, all of Perdido; three sisters, Patsy and Richard Newhart, and Peggy and Rodger McDuffie, both of Perdido, and Janice and Bobby Williams of Atmore; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Richard Newhart, Bobby Williams, Rodger McDuffie, Dale Robison, Josey Hadley, and Patrick Schmidt.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 10 a.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Welch and Sister Eula Price officiating. Burial followed in the Bryars-McGill Cemetery with the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
