A number of area churches are working to form a community mass choir, using music to build community harmony,
The mass choir will involve people from all walks of life, regardless of denominational affiliation or cultural background.
Rick Gates, a full-time music minister at the First Baptist Church in Brewton, will be the director of the choir.
So far, 46 churches have received the letters and seven churches have committed to participating in the mass choir.
The following churches and co-directors have committed to supporting the united effort:
