Mr. Donald Raymond Fischer, 68, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at a Pensacola hospital. He was a native of Niles, Ill., and a resident of the Flomaton community for the past 10 years coming from Maderira Beach, Fla. He retired from the U.S. Army serving in the military police.
He is survived by a son, James (Kathleen) Fischer of Gurnee, Ill.; a daughter, Dana (Gary) Goff of Canton, Ga.; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home with Dr. Tim McKnight officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at 11 a.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
