Clyde and Lucille Bruley of Atmore will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception March 12 at The Wisteria in Atmore.
The children of the couple will host the reception at The Wisteria, located at 121 North Main St. in Atmore, from 4 to 7 p.m. Special entertainment is scheduled from 5 and 6 p.m.
The Bruleys were married March 19, 1955. They are the parents of four children, Gwen Bruley Long, Brian Bruley, Melody Bruley Godwin and Chris Bruley, and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Bruley was ordained into the ministry in October 1973. Since then, both he and his wife have served and pastored four churches: First Freewill Baptist Church in Atmore, 1973-77; Semirah Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Uriah, 1977-80; Range Freewill Baptist Church in Range, 1980-91; and Canaan Freewill Baptist Church at Barnett Crossroads, 1991-present.
Instead of gifts, those attending are asked to write about a memory they have of the couple. A basket will be provided in the foyer of the Wisteria for the items. Family and friends are invited.
