A Castleberry man was arrested March 10 and was cited for five charges after a three-month investigation.
George Newton Pettis, 46, of 422 Janice Lane, Castleberry, was arrested Thursday night. Agents from the 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force, along with investigators from the Escambia County Sheriff's Department and Troopers from the Alabama Department of Public Safety arrested Pettis at his home.
Agents seized eight plastic bags containing ICE, which is a pure form of crystal methamphetamines, scales, pipes, prescription medicine and a .44 Magnum handgun.
Pettis was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a pistol without a permit.
