Mr. Thomas Alfred "Al" Edwards, 65, died Friday, April 8, 2005. He was a native of Mobile, a resident of Gulf Breeze, Fla. and Bratt, Fla. He had been employed with Borden's Dairy and RC Cola before opening his own company, Midway Truss, Inc. in 1973. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Jackson Edwards.
He is survived by his mother, Lizzy Edwards of Bratt; three sons, Tony (Kathy) Barberi of Gulf Breeze, Roy (Allison) Barberi of Pleasantville, Tenn., and T.J. (Katherine) Edwards of Navarre, Fla.; a daughter, Susan (Shane) Edwards-Farmer of Gulf Breeze; four brothers, James (Mary) Edwards of Atmore, and A.J. (Willie Jean) Edwards, Carly Edwards and Bernie (Debbie) Edwards, all of Bratt; two sisters, Marilyn (Dee) Branch of Atmore and Sharon Zettlemoyer of Baton Rouge, La., and 22 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Ellisor and the Rev. Dick Wright officiating. Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
