Ms. Deborah Ruth Carden, 52, died Saturday, April 16, 2005 at a local hospital. She was a native and life-long resident of Brewton. She owned and operated Carden Straw Company for 18 years. She attended Edendale Holiness Church and was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Ruth Carden.
She is survived by her father, Grady Earl Carden of Brewton; one sister, Toni Grissett of Brewton; one niece; two nephews and two great-nieces.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at Craver's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Parkerson and the Rev. Robert Gandy officiating. Burial followed in Pollard Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
