Mrs. Carrie Bell Watson, 79, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at her residence. She was a native of Monroeville and a resident of Atmore for many years. She was a member of the Lighthouse Apostolic Holiness Church. She was a cook for Escambia County Junior High for 20 years and a cook for Atmore Nursing Care Center for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Watson; four sisters, Annie Wiggins, Ola Mae Robinson, Lillie Mae Hines and Maxine Montgomery, and four brothers, Jeff Hall Sr., Johnny Hall Sr. Willie Hall and Nelson Hall Sr.
She is survived by Judith Dobbs, Juanita Salter, Zola Grissett, Sandra Knight and Elizabeth English, all of Atmore, Ethel Frye of Atlana, Dedra Jackson of Pensacola, and Elizabeth Frye of Vancover, Wash.; five sons, Ollie Frye of Atlanta, Clarence Frye of Vancover; David Frye of Orangeburg, S.C., Earl Frye of Portland, Ore., and Ray Charles Jones of Mississippi; 51 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at the Lighthouse Apostolic Holiness Church with Apostle Floyd Nelson and Bishop Robert Grissett officiating. Burial followed at Stallworth Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home directing.
