Mrs. Daisy Dorriety Mills, 77, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005, in a Monroe County hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Brewton, a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Brewton. She was preceded in death by her sons, Larry Douglas Huggins and Bruce Morgan Huggins.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Dr. Woody) Ash of Uriah, Jamie Anne Lipscomb of Birmingham and Lynn Crutchfield of Brewton; a son, Ronald Mills of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers, Levon Dorriety of Mobile, Joe Ivy Dorriety of Pensacola, Fla., and Jerry Dorriety, Billie Dorriety and Charles Dorriety, all of Atmore; sisters, Arvie Jean Jones of Pensacola, Ercel Lee Brackin and Doris Lewis, both of Milton, Fla., and Betty Weaver and Libby Lundy, both of Uriah; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 10, at 5:30 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Keese officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Ron Downs, Ronnie Adams, Sam Adams, Gene Frazier, Darryl Fore and Ronald Mills.
