Brewton
Jerry Eugene Baker, 53, of Old Hwy. 31, Brewton, died Friday, July 15, 2005, in a Pensacola hospital after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County. Baker was of the Protestant faith and a retired pipefitter.
He is survived by his wife, Retha Johnson Baker of Brewton; a son, Shane Glen Baker of Brewton; three brothers, Homer (Carolyn) Baker of Castleberry; John (Myrtise) Baker of Castleberry; and Luther (Hettie) Baker of Whiting, Ind.; a sister, Clara (Douglas) Burch of Brewton; and two grandchildren.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 18, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Hall officiating. Burial followed in Buffington Cemetery, Castleberry, with Williams Memorial Funeral Home directing.
