With the most successful season in T.R. Miller volleyball history in the books, what comes next?
Will it continue to take forward steps or was this year's success a one-year flash in the pan?
Case and point is a team that beat the Lady Tigers at Saturday's regional tournament, Montgomery Academy. Montgomery Academy earned its 21st straight ticket to the state tournament and 26th in 27 years.
Matching this season's 21-12 record which included the program's first ever Escambia County Tournament and Area Tournament championships will not be easy with the loss of seniors Emily Layton, Terri Lynne Peacock, Joy McCorvey, Megan Fountain, Stacey Jackson and Vivian Muth.
One step in the right direction is the Lady Tigers are having success at the lower levels. T.R. Miller's junior varsity went 6-2 this past season, while Brewton Middle School went 7-4.

be the key for us.”
Even though it finished the season 7-15, W.S. Neal's volleyball program also took a step forward this season. The seven wins matched the program's total for the previous three seasons combined.
Despite that progress, first-year coach Chuck Riddle wanted more.
