Give to United Fund to help all
Imagine an event that can touch every single person in our community. That event is ongoing right now - the 2007 United Fund campaign.
The United Fund of Brewton and East Brewton provides money to 14 agencies in our community, and those 14 agencies perform services so diverse that they truly affect nearly every person in our area.
And the money we give to the United Fund stays right here in our community - 99 cents of every dollar goes to one of the agencies.
Those agencies include those that help children, such as the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, Brewton Parks and Recreation Department, East Brewton Youth Sports and Alabama Cooperative Extension System.
They help children and adults in need, such as the Hope Place Family Resource Center, Christian Community Benevolent Fund, Escambia County Mental Health Association and Disabled Children and Adults.
And they touch every other person in a variety of ways, from the Brewton Public Library and Escambia County Cooperative Library System to the Brewton Area YMCA. And we've seen how the American Red Cross affects all of us, whether in a house fire or in a major disaster such as Hurricane Ivan.
Our community has always come together like no other in the face of adversity such as Ivan.
Now our community needs us to pool our resources again to help these agencies perform needed services and activities for another year.
We encourage everyone to give to the United Fund. All you have to do is fill out a form for payroll deduction, if your company offers it, or make a pledge or other donation. Send your donation to United Fund of Brewton and East Brewton, P.O. Box 34, Brewton, AL 36427.
Everyone will benefit from your gift.
